Tractate Tamid deals with the order of the daily offering (korban tamid) in the Holy Temple, and with other frequent services in the Temple. This tractate is the shortest among all tractates that have Gemara - only eight and a half pages. For this reason, among others, the Rebbe mentioned this tractate specifically as suitable for fulfilling the custom of making siyumim (completions of tractates) during the Nine Days.
