Sichos Kodesh
The series "sichos Kodesh" (Holy Talks) consists of talks from the Rebbe that were written by various writers (mainly by members of Va'ad Hanachos Hatmimim), but were not edited by him.

HistoryEdit
Almost all of the Rebbe's maamarim (discourses) and sichos (talks) were transcribed by various "chroniclers," with the Rebbe only editing some of them afterward. The unedited talks were printed on single-column pages, unlike the edited talks which were printed in two columns.
In the early years of his leadership, the Rebbe strongly objected to the unedited transcripts being printed in a regular format. Only material that was edited or signed by the Rebbe was approved for printing (and even this was not common). The Rebbe authorized the unedited talks to be distributed via "copier," as it was called then, or through a spirit duplicator ("stencil") that worked with spirit ink and printed in blue. The "transcripts" were therefore completely internal publications, and their distribution was done hand-to-hand with a very limited number of copies. Later, the talks were printed as photographs of the distributed pages in the sichos Kodesh series, without Kehot's stamp and without mentioning the name of the committee behind it. The series includes transcripts from the years 1951 to 1981, and separately also 1984 and 1985. The collection, typing, and printing of the talks was initiated and managed by Gershon Eichhorn.
In recent years, the publishing system of the Chabad World Center for Greeting Moshiach - "Vaad sichos Kodesh" - began to republish the series, adding many transcripts that were missing in the first edition and with more convenient and readable formatting (this was after the Rebbe approved printing unedited talks in regular print in the 1980s - the Hitvaaduyot series). The new series has so far printed the years 1950 to 1961 and the years 1976 to 1980.
