Reb Yosef Yitzchak Wilmowsky
Reb Yosef Yitzchak (Yoske) Wilimowsky was born on Chof Ches Elul 5719 to his father, the renowned chossid Reb Zusha (the Partizan) and his mother Mrs. Feiga (née Poker). He received his chinuch from the mashpia Reb Refoel Nachman Cohen in Kfar Chabad.
At the age of 17, he traveled to Beis Chayeinu - 770 to learn by the rebbe. In 5740, with the Rebbe's brocha, he assumed the position of maggid shiur in the mesivta of Yeshivas Ohr Elchanan - Chabad in Los Angeles.
In 5742, the Rashag appointed him as menahel of the central kitchen of Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch at 770, a position he maintained b'mesirus nefesh for over 35 years.
In 5744, he got married to Devorah Leah (née Andrusier). The Rebbe showed special kiruvim by providing several thousand dollars to his father for the chasunah expenses.
He was regularly chozer Chassidus during shalosh seudos in various batei knesios throughout the schuna, and gave a daily shiur in Hemshech Ayin Beis and the Rebbe's maamorim in Getzel's Shul. As one of the four gabboim of the Crown Heights Chevra Kadisha, he merited to be involved in the kevurah of the Rebbetzin נ"ע in 5748.
On Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Nitzavim, Chof Zayin Elul 5781, after suffering from a machla in his final years, his neshama returned to its Creator. The levaya passed by Beis Chayeinu - 770 on Sunday, Chof Ches Elul, before proceeding to the Montefiore Beis Hachayim in Queens where he was buried.
