Adon (Moshiach)

The King Moshiach is called Adon (Master/Lord), as it is written: "...and suddenly the Adon whom you seek will come to His sanctuary, etc."

The entire essence of the King Moshiach is to establish the sovereignty of the Holy One, blessed be He - the Adon, Hashem God of Israel - in the lower world, and through him, Hashem's kingship will extend over the entire world.

The redemption and revelation will occur in all worlds, especially in this physical world, as indicated by the word "geulah" (redemption), which is composed of the word "golah" (exile) with the addition of the letter 'aleph' within it (see Golah and Geulah). This teaches about the revelation of the aleph - which alludes to the Alufo Shel Olam (Master of the World), meaning the Adon of the world, within the "golah," which is this physical world. This world is called "golah" because it receives its life force through kelipah (concealment), and the G-dliness that sustains it is in a state of exile and foreignness within it. Yet, even this world will be permeated with the aleph - Alufo Shel Olam - which will shine within it, and the Adon, Hashem God of Israel, will be revealed in it.

Moreover, the aleph that permeates and is revealed in "golah" also alludes to "a'alefcha chochmah, a'alefcha binah" (I will teach you wisdom, I will teach you understanding) - the revelation of the intellectual faculties of Atzilut, and even more - aleph forms the letters "peleh" (wonder), which is completely wondrous - the level of His essence, blessed be He. All this will be revealed in the true and complete redemption through our righteous Moshiach.

Such a redemption can only come through a redeemer who is himself thoroughly permeated and united with this revelation of the aleph - Alufo Shel Olam, to the point of revealing G-d's essence, meaning that he is united in his very essence with the essence of the Adon Havayah, to the extent that he is called by the prophet by His name - the essential name - Adon.
