Born in Vitebsk, Belarus, on 24 Tevet 5688, to his father, the Chassidic mentor Rabbi Avraham Mayor, and mother Sara. He was named after the Rebbe Rashab.

In 1946, he escaped Russia with his family during the known exodus. After moving through various refugee camps, he arrived in Paris where he studied at the Chabad Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Paris.

Israel and Military Service

In 1948, he immigrated to Israel and enlisted in the Israel Defense Forces, serving for three years. During military leaves, he attended Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva in Lod, where he received guidance from the Chassidic mentor Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Keselman.

Business and Philanthropy

In 1959, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Crown Heights near the Rebbe's court, and began his business ventures. His business expanded significantly, bringing great success, as he consistently dedicated substantial funds to charity.

For several years, he funded suits and hats for all Tmimim students in Tomchei Tmimim yeshivas and their rabbinical faculty.
