Herman Wouk (May 27, 1915 – May 17, 2019) was an orhodox Jewish American author and novelist. He published many novels and won a distinguished prize. One of his non-ficition books This is My G-d, the Rebbe was happy that there was a thirst to spread this book among IDF sooldiers and told him not to forget about the Jews in America.[1] He greatly supported Chabad institutions all over the world.

In 5745 the Rebbe encouraged the famed author, Mr. Herman Wouk, to publish sections of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch in braille, after he was intrumnetal in a project of the Chumash in braille.[2] Template:References
