Kuntres HaRav is a work encompassing the novellae (chiddushim) of the Alter Rebbe on tractate Gittin, on the halachic topics of acquisitions (kinyanim), legal despair (ye'ush), and ownerless property (hefker).

The work was edited with additional explanations and annotations by Rabbi Shlomo Segal, the Rebbe's emissary (shliach) in the Ramat Tivon neighborhood of Kiryat Tivon and a senior instructor (ram) at the Tomchei Temimim yeshiva in Migdal HaEmek.

For the benefit of students, the work opens with the laws of ownerless property (hefker) from the Alter Rebbe's Shulchan Aruch, followed by a listing of halachic novellae and explanations drawn from the Talmud and the classic legal authorities (poskim).

The volume is graced by the approbations (haskamos) of Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, a member of the Supreme Rabbinical Court, and Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi, rabbi of Kfar Chabad. The book was published by "Eshel — Kfar Chabad."
