The Blessings upon Seeing Moshiach

Chazal instituted certain blessings related to a person's amazement at the actions of the Holy One, blessed be He. According to several halachic authorities, when the King Moshiach is revealed in the true and complete redemption, the events that will occur together will obligate us to recite five blessings.
Not all the blessings are necessarily connected with the King Moshiach himself, but rather with all the events that will take place together at that time.
Five Blessings[edit | edit source]
- Shehecheyanu - The blessing of Shehecheyanu is the first blessing, all the more so when seeing a person whom one has not seen for thirty days.
- Ga'al Yisrael - For the redemption of Israel from the bitter exile.
- Shechalak Mechochmaso Lire'av - King Moshiach is a great sage - who will teach Torah even to the forefathers and Moshe Rabbeinu.
- Shechalak Mikevodo Lire'av - As is the law for one who sees a king of Israel.
- Chacham Harazim - As is the law for one who sees sixty myriads (600,000) of Jews (and certainly there will be more than that present).
