E-li Atah
E-li Atah — of the Tzemach Tzedek is a Chassidic melody (niggun — a wordless or text-based devotional tune, one of the central forms of spiritual expression in Chabad Chassidus) attributed to the Tzemach Tzedek, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the third Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch. It does not appear in the Sefer HaNigunim — the official Chabad anthology of melodies — and is less widely known than the Niggun of the same words composed by the Alter Rebbe.
The words of the niggun are drawn from the Book of Psalms and are also recited during the Hallel — the joyous prayer of praise sung on Jewish festivals and Rosh Chodesh, the first day of the new month.
This niggun is listed as melody number 1 in the Mesoras HaNigunim project, and as melody number 348 in the Otzar HaNigunim collection.
