Born in 1955 in Boro Park to his father Rabbi Alter Yissachar Dov Lieberman and his mother Mrs. Rivka, in a Chabad family that is also descended from the Admo"r Rabbi Chaim Halberstam, author of 'Divrei Chaim' of [[Sanz Chassidus|Sanz]], and other holy tzaddikim.
