Rabbi Dovber Schneuri of Lubavitch (the Mitteler Rebbe) - the second of the Seven Rebbes of Chabad, was the son and successor of the Alter Rebbe, the founder of Chabad Chassidus. The Mitteler Rebbe authored many works Chassidus published during his lifetime and after his passing. He oversaw the relocation of the Chabad movement to the city of Lubavitch from Liadi. He was the uncle and father-in-law of the Tzemach Tzedek who became the third Rebbe of Chabad. Born on Tes Kislev (9 Elul) 5534 and passed away on Tes Kislev 5588.
