			The International Kinus HaShluchim is an annual gathering where all the Rebbe of Lubavitch Melech HaMoshiach Shlita's shluchim (emissaries) from around the world convene at 770, to strengthen their connection with the Rebbe and to consult and discuss issues they face in their shlichus work. The Kinus begins every year on Shabbos Mevarchim Chodesh Kislev at 770. The Kinus has received instructions and blessings from the Rebbe and is produced by Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch.

			== The Kinus ==
			The Kinus is organized by Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch, and is managed by the Kinus Committee selected by Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hendel is among the organizers of the Kinus, and Eshel and Beis Moshiach under his management provide special services to the shluchim participating in the Kinus.

			During the Kinus, workshops are held on various topics that assist the shliach in his various activities at his place of residence. There are also fairs and sales of products suitable for shluchim.

			The official opening of the Kinus is on Shabbos Mevarchim Kislev at 1:30 PM. The Kinus begins during the Rebbe's farbrengen. The Rebbe usually addresses the role of the shluchim in this farbrengen, connecting it to the weekly Torah portion.

			== Banquet ==
			The central event is the elaborate banquet that takes place in one of the halls in the neighborhood (until 5779 the banquet was held at 770) on Motzei Shabbos.

			The banquet, in which shluchim and donors participate, is produced at an especially high level. Speakers include rabbis from Crown Heights, rabbis and shluchim from around the world, as well as guest speakers, and multimedia productions specifically tailored for the shluchim banquet are screened.

			One of the special events at the banquet is the 'Roll Call,' in which the shluchim stand up as the host announces their place of shlichus, and at the conclusion of the 'Roll Call,' the shluchim break into song and dancing.

			== Group Photo of Shluchim ==
			On Sunday morning, the day after Shabbos Mevarchim Kislev, thousands of shluchim gather every year for a group photo.

			== Hosting the Kinus ==
			At the International Kinus HaShluchim, the Eshel Hachnosas Orchim building, managed by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hendel, hosts the shluchim, some of whom stay in the building, and meals are served to all of them daily.

			During the Kinus days, workshops are held in the building and some of the International Kinus HaShluchim events take place there.

			The Kinus HaShluchim began in 5744 (1984) as a regional gathering of shluchim in the United States. After four years, in 5748 (1988) - which was a Hakhel year - the Kinus HaShluchim became international, and since then it has been growing every year.

			The Rebbe gives through the secretariat $201 to each of the shluchim who came to the conference.

			The Rebbe distributes only to the shluchim the Rosh Chodesh Kislev 5748 booklet.

			During the Shabbat farbrengen, the Rebbe announces that the work of the shluchim in spreading the wellsprings has been completed, and now the only thing left in the work of shlichus is to prepare the residents of their city and all their surroundings to receive Moshiach Tzidkeinu.

			The Rebbe unexpectedly comes out to the balcony at 770, during the banquet ceremony, and encourages the shluchim's singing of "Yechi Adoneinu Moreinu V'Rabbeinu Melech HaMoshiach L'olam Va'ed." This was the only time the Rebbe himself participated in the banquet. That same year, following the Kinus Hashluchim, the 'Yechi Adoneinu' sign that was displayed at the Kinus Hashluchim was hung in the main hall of 770.

			The shluchim merit a special yechidus during which they pass before the Rebbe at the entrance to his room, after about two weeks during which he was not seen by the public at all.

			The '''World Kinus Hashluchim''' 5784 was announced under the theme 'To silence the enemy and avenger' in solidarity with Chabad activities in Eretz Yisrael. The conference was attended mainly by shluchim from abroad following the directive of Tzeirei Chabad in the Holy Land and the Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak network for shluchim and educational institution workers to avoid traveling to the conference due to the situation.

			Before the conference, there was a call to unite the two shluchim conferences. As a first step, Rabbi Gershon Avtzon's article was published calling for a unified conference. In the following days, another letter was published calling for a unified conference, signed by Rabbi Mendi Hendel, Rabbi Zalman Liberow, and others.

			The desired peace did not come and 2 conferences were held, but sprouts of unity were seen in the field:

			The World Kinus Hashluchim 5785, due to the Iron Swords War in the Holy Land and manifestations of antisemitism in the world - was dedicated to focusing on the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach's holy mivtzaim, for the protection, defense and rescue of the Jewish people in the Holy Land and throughout the world, with emphasis on actions to complete the only shlichus that the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach imposed at the Kinus Hashluchim 5752: preparing the world to receive Moshiach Tzidkeinu in actual reality!

			The main banquet was held under the theme "And you shall dwell securely in your land... and I will lead you upright." On the eve of the conference, it was decided to dedicate it to the elevation of the soul of the shliach Rabbi Tzvi Kogan HY"D, shliach in Abu Dhabi, who was murdered by Arab terrorists a few days before the opening of the conference.

			At the shluchim banquet held at Razag Hall in Crown Heights, Rabbi Spielman, father-in-law of the shliach Rabbi Kogan HY"D, recited a chapter of Tehillim with thousands of participants for the elevation of his son-in-law's soul.

			Member of the Chabad Rabbinical Court in the Holy Land, Rabbi Yeshayahu Hertzel, Rabbi of Nof HaGalil, read a chapter of Tehillim for the success of the soldiers in the Iron Swords War, and for the release of the hostages.

			Member of the Crown Heights Beis Din, Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun of the Crown Heights rabbis, spoke about the moment he received the news about the kidnapping of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan HY"D, and that despite all the darkness prevailing in the world, we are living in a time of miracles and wonders and we need to look at the good and with that act to bring the complete redemption.

			At the banquet, a live panel was presented featuring Channel 14 news and security correspondent Hillel Biton-Rosen with Galei Israel radio reporter R' Mati Tuchfeld on the miracles of the war that Hashem is showing to the people of Israel.

			At the Rosh Chodesh Kislev farbrengen at 770, attended by thousands of shluchim, the guest of honor was Yoav Gallant, who served as Defense Minister at the beginning of the war. In his speech, he spoke extensively about the miracles that Hashem performed during Operation Iron Swords.
