Rabbi Yoel Zusha Zilberstein is the Rebbe's shliach and director of Chabad House 'Chabanelle' in [[Montreal]], [[Canada]]. Rabbi Zilberstein engages in shlichus with a primary emphasis on spreading [[the Rebbe]]'s message about the geulah, and he publishes a monthly journal for shluchim in English called 'Or Gavoh'. Additionally, following his shlichus and work with Jewish inmates in the country's prisons, Rabbi Zilberstein was appointed as the rabbi of prisons in Canada. == Life History == Born in Antwerp, Belgium, to his father Rabbi Chaim Aryeh Zilberstein. After his marriage to the daughter of the chossid R' Yehuda Spitz from Montreal, Canada, he established his residence near his in-laws' home and began working as the Rebbe's shliach in the city. He later founded the Chabad House 'Chabanelle' where his main activities are centered. Furthermore, in 1974 he began working with inmates in Canadian prisons, an activity that grew and expanded over the years, during which he also established a special shelter for prisoner rehabilitation called "Beit Belfield". This activity received governmental recognition, and he was appointed as the rabbi of prisons in Canada, also receiving widespread media coverage. When the Rebbe began demanding that chassidim increase their involvement in matters of Moshiach and geulah, and with the elevation of this activity when the Rebbe demanded that chassidim publicize to everyone they come in contact with that the time of geulah has arrived - Rabbi Zilberstein was among the spearheads engaged in this activity. He began publishing notices and proclamations in newspapers, on billboards, at bus stations, and through additional mediums, publicizing the matter of the imminent geulah, and has since been especially focused on this. On 10 Shevat 1993, he was among the leaders organizing the global 'Satellite' event. Rabbi Zilberstein is known for his oratory skills and is frequently invited to participate in events and shabbatons dealing with matters of geulah and Moshiach. In 2016, Rabbi Zilberstein established the Toras HaGeulah website, which centralizes entries about geulah and Moshiach edited by many rabbis and writers. == Family == * His brother, R' Moshe Aharon Zilberstein - Antwerp, Belgium * His brother, R' Eliyahu Yitzchak Zilberstein - London, England * His son, R' Levi Zilberstein - shliach in Oncae, Argentina * His son, R' Mendel Zilberstein - shliach in Westchester, New York * His son, Rabbi Shneur Zalman Zilberstein - the Rebbe's shliach and director of Chabad House 'San Laurent' in Montreal, Canada * His son-in-law, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Lebkowski - the Rebbe's shliach in Cape Coral, Florida * His son-in-law, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Greenblatt - the Rebbe's shliach in Buenos Aires * His son-in-law, Rabbi Levi Jacobson - the Rebbe's shliach in Toronto
