Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Raskin serves as the Rosh Mesivta Chabad in [[Montreal]]. == Life History == Born on 22 Nissan 5727 (1967) to Rabbi Yehuda Leib Raskin in Casablanca, Morocco. At age 12.5, his parents sent him to learn near [[the Rebbe]] due to the lack of an appropriate educational institution in their place of shlichus in Morocco. Rabbi Raskin received special attention from the Rebbe, who showed him particular closeness, especially during his Bar Mitzvah on Acharon Shel Pesach 5740 (1980), when his parents were not with him. During those years, he wrote a detailed diary of his time with the Rebbe, which was rare for a child of his age. He married his wife Mrs. Sterna Sarah, daughter of [[Rabbi Meir Plotkin]] from Montreal. Today, he runs the Mesivta Chabad Montreal. He is considered a unique chassidic storyteller, containing within him many stories about the Rebbe. == Family == * His brother, Rabbi Menachem Mendel, is a shliach in Montreal. * His son-in-law, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Vitshtzky. * His son-in-law, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Lazar.
