{{Toras HaNigla}} '''Mesechtas Nazir''' contains 9 chapters and 65 pages. The Mesechta deals with the laws of a Nazir. Taking the Nazirite vow, its laws, and the Nazirite offering. A man or woman who vows not to drink wine is called a 'Nazir'. The Nazir is forbidden to drink wine throughout the period of his Naziriteship. If no time is specified, the Naziriteship applies for 30 days, and in any case, one cannot take a Nazirite vow for less than this minimum time period. Additionally, he is forbidden to eat grapes, cut his hair, or become ritually impure through contact with a dead body. If a Nazir nevertheless becomes impure through inadvertent contact with a dead body, he must immerse in a [[mikvah]] to purify himself, and on the seventh day after his immersion, he must shave his head. The next day, on the eighth day, he brings two turtledoves or young pigeons as an offering, as well as a guilt offering of a Nazir, and afterward he must again begin counting the days of his Naziriteship. When the days of the Naziriteship are completed, the Nazir comes to the Temple, brings an offering, and after the sacrifice, he shaves the hair of his head. The laws of Naziriteship are like the laws of vows: a husband can annul them, if one does not fulfill the Naziriteship he transgresses the prohibition of "do not delay," etc. == The Rebbe's Explanations == * '''29a.'''
