Dvar Malchus refers to the Rebbe's edited sichos (talks) that were given during the last year (for now) in which we heard sichos from the Rebbe, from Shabbos Parshas Vayikra, 1 Nissan 5751 (1991) until Shabbos Parshas Vayakhel, 25 Adar I 5752 (1992). Although in Chabad it is common to generally refer to the Torah teachings of Chabad Rebbes as 'Dvar Malchus', these sichos are unique in that they were published in an unprecedented way under the title 'Dvar Malchus', with official publication through Kehot Publication Society and with the Rebbe's approval. == Background and History == The first instance where Chabad Rebbes' sichos were called "Dvar Malchus" was in the Frierdiker Rebbe's sichos. In the Kfar Chabad weekly magazine, there was a regular column featuring the Rebbe's teachings called 'Dvar Malchus'. In 5751 (1991), following the Rebbe's sichos regarding the virtue of the Jewish people, Rabbi Tuvia Peles began publishing collections called "Dvar Malchus" containing the latest sicha given by the Rebbe on the previous Shabbos, along with maamarim, Igros Kodesh, and more. The first sicha that Rabbi Peles printed under this name was from Shabbos Parshas Vayechi, 12 Teves and Asara B'Teves 5751. After several weeks of publishing Dvar Malchus in the same format as the sichos were printed in Kfar Chabad weekly, and following a report submitted by Rabbi Tuvia Peles to the Rebbe, the Rebbe instructed to approach Kehot Publication Society's management so that Dvar Malchus would be published officially, with a title page in the framework of Otzar HaChassidim "Shalsheles Ha'Or - Heichal Teshi'i, Sha'ar Shlishi." == Special Publications and Continued Legacy == There were also three booklets published in a special edition, containing sichos specifically dealing with matters of Geulah and Moshiach. One of them was 'Kuntres Dvar Malchus 12', which the Rebbe distributed in 770 on 15 Iyar 5751, which was a second printing of a booklet first published by the Vaad L'Hafatzas Sichos under the name "Likkutei Sichos on matters of Geulah and Moshiach." After 27 Adar 5752, Rabbi Tuvia Peles continued publishing the booklets, mainly containing the last sicha given by the Rebbe for that parsha. Later, he stopped printing for various reasons, and Rabbi Chaim Levi Yitzchak Ginzburg took the initiative to distribute the sichos. Since then, the sichos are printed weekly by the Or HaChassidus Institute in Bnei Brak and distributed throughout Israel. == The Rebbe's Special Appreciation == The Rebbe's great satisfaction with these booklets was expressed in several ways. During many dollars distributions, when Rabbi Peles passed before the Rebbe, the Rebbe gave him an additional dollar for the "Dvar Malchus," specifically mentioning this name. On one Shabbos, the Rebbe came down for farbrengen with a 'Dvar Malchus' booklet inside his siddur. == Unique Content and Significance == These sichos are studied with great enthusiasm by Anash and Temimim because in them the Rebbe guides us how to live in this period where on one hand we are still in galus, and on the other hand it is an auspicious time for geulah and the final moments before the revelation of Melech HaMoshiach. These sichos are unique in their content, where the Rebbe explains how every detail connects to geulah. Additional significant uniqueness lies in the special instructions the Rebbe gave in these sichos. Among the well-known ones are: * The instruction from Shabbos Parshas Tazria-Metzora 5751 where the Rebbe said that the straight, easy, and quick way to bring about the revelation and coming of Moshiach in the world is through studying matters of Moshiach and geulah * The instruction from Shabbos Parshas Shoftim 5751 when the Rebbe said we must publicize to all people of the generation that there is a prophet in the generation who is the advisor and judge * The instruction from the World Shluchim Convention in 5752 when the Rebbe said that the only remaining shlichus is to welcome Moshiach Tzidkeinu == Innovative Teachings == There are also innovations in the content of the sichos, for example: * In the sicha of Parshas Emor, the Rebbe explains that in our generation every Jew has the possibility to be a tzaddik * In the sicha of Parshas Lech Lecha, he explains that in our generation we can learn Torah in a way of "three mochin b'etzem" * In the sicha of 19 Kislev - Yechidus Klalis, the Rebbe says that we are now in Yemos HaMoshiach * In the sicha of Parshas Toldos, the Rebbe says that "the revelation of Moshiach's existence" already exists The enthusiasm around studying these sichos is further enhanced by the fact that these are the last sichos we merited to hear from the Rebbe, as the Rebbe himself instructed in the period before formally accepting the nesius, to study the last sichos and maamarim heard from the Frierdiker Rebbe because in them are "the answers to all questions." Due to the fervor surrounding the study of these sichos, various institutions publish weekly booklets to enhance the vitality around studying the "Dvar Malchus" sichos. === Dvar Malchus Sichos Listing === == Sefer Bereishis == Bereishis β’ Noach β’ Lech Lecha β’ Vayeira β’ Chayei Sarah β’ Toldos (1), Toldos (2) β’ Vayeitzei β’ Vayishlach β’ 19 Kislev β’ Vayeishev β’ Chanukah β’ Mikeitz β’ 5 Teves β’ Vayigash β’ Vayechi == Sefer Shemos == Shemos β’ Va'eira (1), Va'eira (2) β’ Bo β’ Nshei U'Bnos Yisrael β’ Beshalach β’ 15 Shevat β’ Yisro β’ 22 Shevat β’ Mishpatim (1), Mishpatim (2) β’ Terumah β’ Tetzaveh (1), Tetzaveh (2) β’ Ki Sisa β’ Vayakhel == Sefer Vayikra == Vayikra β’ Tzav β’ 11 Nissan β’ Erev Pesach (1), Erev Pesach (2) β’ Acharon Shel Pesach (1), Acharon Shel Pesach (2) β’ 26 Nissan β’ 28 Nissan β’ Shemini β’ Tazria-Metzora β’ Acharei-Kedoshim β’ Emor β’ Behar-Bechukosai == Sefer Bamidbar == Bamidbar β’ Shavuos (1), Shavuos (2) β’ Nasso β’ Beha'aloscha (1), Beha'aloscha (2) β’ Shelach β’ 28 Sivan β’ Korach (1), Korach (2) β’ Chukas β’ Balak β’ Pinchas β’ Matos-Masei == Sefer Devarim == Devarim β’ Va'eschanan β’ Eikev β’ Re'eh β’ Shoftim β’ Ki Seitzei β’ Ki Savo β’ Erev Rosh Hashanah (1), Erev Rosh Hashanah (2) β’ Nitzavim-Vayeilech and Rosh Hashanah β’ Rosh Hashanah, Sukkos and Simchas Torah β’ Simchas Torah == Additions == Yechidus with Rav Mordechai Eliyahu (6 Marcheshvan 5752) β’ Kuntres on the topic of Mikdash Me'at Zeh Beis Rabbeinu SheBeBavel β’ Sicha of 2 Nissan 5748 == Dvar Malchus with Explanations == The 'Dvar Malchus with Explanations' series includes the Rebbe's last sichos (for now), delivered in the years 5751-5752 (1991-92). These comprise 5 volumes, spanning 3,000 pages. These sichos were newly typed and printing errors from previous editions were corrected. The five volumes contain approximately fifty sichos of the Rebbe that were edited by him and approved for publication. These sichos contain thousands of references and sources that were decoded by members of Machon Malchus SheBTiferes and presented in the margins in an illuminating manner. In his sichos, the Rebbe refers to many sources from all parts of Torah: Talmud, Rambam, Midrashim, Zohar, and Kabbalah seforim. This edition of his sichos makes it easier for the learner who wishes to study these sources and learn the sichos with proper depth. Each sicha includes a 'content' section summarizing the sicha in simple and flowing language, a summary page, and practical instructions derived from the sicha. The set was published by Merkaz Hafatzah Mamash. he:ΧΧΧ¨ ΧΧΧΧΧͺ
