The '''Heichal Menachem''' Center - [[Monsey]], [[New York]] is one of the network of [[Heichal Menachem]] centers worldwide. Founded on [[19 Kislev]] [[5759]] (1998), by the shliach Rabbi [[Gedalia Oberlander]], author of books on halacha and Jewish customs, and editor of the "Or Yisroel" journal and the Chassidic journal Heichal HaBaal Shem Tov. In the year 5772 (2012), the founder's son, the shliach Rabbi Dovid Oberlander, began managing the activities. == Chassidic Library == The 'Heichal Menachem' Center maintains an extensive library available to the general public, where one can sit comfortably and learn. The library contains a collection of Torah and Chassidus books, Chassidic bulletins and journals - close to 20,000 books! Additionally, there are software programs such as Otzar HaChochma and Otzrot HaTorah - for use by the general public. In the year 5775 (2015), a "Chassidic Lending Library" was also opened, from which selected Chassidic books can be borrowed for a certain period. == Beis Medrash 'Ner Yisroel' == Beginning in the year 5766 (2006), the 'Heichal Menachem' Center has operated a Chassidic beis medrash, in which prayers and Chassidus classes are held every Shabbos, and farbrengens are held on every special Shabbos. Several times a year, a guest mashpia is brought in for a Shabbos filled with Chassidus, to deliver shiurim and farbreng with the general public. Rabbi Gedalia Oberlander serves as the rav of the beis medrash. == Activities == * '''Shiurim and Farbrengens''': Every week, classes on various topics are conducted at the center by renowned mashpiim. Additionally, before each holiday, special classes are held with the aim of giving the public a taste of the inner meaning of the upcoming holiday. * '''Chavrusas and Shiurim in Learning Chassidus''': In response to many requests, chavrusas or shiurim are arranged for those interested in establishing a regular schedule for learning Chassidus. * '''Tiferes Shimshon Kollel Network''': In the evening, an "Evening Kollel" takes place at the center, and on Thursday nights, a "Thursday Night Kollel" - where yungeleit learn Chassidus in depth. The kollel network operates under the auspices of the philanthropist Rabbi Dovid Fisher. * '''Mekor HaMaayan - Center for Distributing Seforim of the Baal Shem Tov and His Holy Disciples''': As part of the effort to spread the wellsprings to the general public, there is a store selling Chabad seforim, and seforim of the Baal Shem Tov and his holy disciples, at prices lower than market prices. * '''Disks and Collections''': A special project was initiated in recent years to create a collection of farbrengens and sichos of the Rebbe, as well as shiurim and farbrengens by Chassidim, available to order on disk or to transfer to digital players. From time to time, the center publishes special shiurim or farbrengens for the symbolic price of $2. == Publishing == As part of the activities at the 'Heichal Menachem' Center, special emphasis is placed on publishing: Every Shabbos, a variety of booklets and pamphlets with Chassidic content are printed, and people - seekers of Torah and Chassidus from throughout the city come to enjoy them. Especially before each holiday and special occasion, special publications are released that bring to the general public the inner meaning of the holiday. * '''The Siddur''' - A collection of articles about the Alter Rebbe's siddur and research related to it.
