* (= Supply of Mezuzot, Tzitzit, and Tefillin), which worked to provide sacred objects and books to Holocaust survivors and Russian emigrants waiting overseas, in refugee camps, etc., as well as in China and Japan; the central branch of the department, from which supplies were provided to all of Europe, in Pocking, was managed by Rabbi David Brawman; the branch that supplied sacred items and books to refugees who fled to the Far East was managed by the Rabbi of Shanghai, Rabbi Meir Ashkenazi.
