After the conclusion of the Seforim case in winter 1986, Rabbi Levin discovered many additional letters from the Rebbe Rashab in the archive that had not yet been published. On 7th Adar II, he asked the Rebbe whether to publish additional volumes and received an affirmative response. These volumes were printed between Menachem Av 1986 and Tevet 1987. Volume 5 also included the Rebbe Rashab's halachic rulings and responsa.
