== Chabad Activist in Toronto == In 5712 (1952), he arrived in Toronto, Canada, where he worked in education according to the Rebbe's instructions, and served as a teacher in the 'Eitz Chaim' Talmud Torah in the city for thirty-six years. He also served as a spiritual supervisor at Gan Israel camp during summer vacations for twenty years, and as a teacher in the teachers' seminary in the city. In addition to his teaching activities, he was among the founders of Chabad community institutions in Toronto, and worked extensively with Russian immigrants. He also served as a gabbai for Kollel Chabad in Eretz Hakodesh and for the Ezras Achim office. He established and taught a Tanya class attended by many members of the upper class in the city, and also gave additional classes in Torah and Chassidus, and would regularly share the Rebbe's sichos and maamarim with the congregants of the Chabad synagogue in the city. He was known for his hospitality and pleasant ways. He passed away at a good old age on 29 Tishrei 5748 (1987).
