== Visits of the Rebbe Rayatz == Extended article - '''Morristown Visits''' The Rebbe Rayatz (Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn) visited the "Sanatorium Morristown" health resort three times. In the years 5701 (1941), 5702 (1942), and 5704 (1944). During these visits, he would typically leave after Tisha B'Av and return before Chai Elul. During his first visit in 5701 (1941), he traveled alone. He also traveled in 5702 (1942), and a trip was planned for 5703 (1943) but did not materialize<ref>He wanted to travel alone, and when some of the chassidim traveled after him, he stopped the journey and said a sicha [talk] before them that began like this: "Indeed, one doesn't tell those accompanying to leave, but it was already agreed at the beginning that he would travel alone." And thus they understood that they should leave.</ref>. On the 17th of Av 5704 (1944), the Rebbe Rayatz traveled, and during his stay there, news arrived about the passing of the Rebbe's father - Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson. The Rebbe (Menachem Mendel Schneerson) sat shiva in New York, and the Rebbe Rayatz wrote him a letter regarding mourning matters. On the 5th of Elul, the Rebbe traveled to the health resort in Morristown, and the Rebbe Rayatz delivered a sicha (talk) for him<ref>Regarding the conduct of his honor, my father, my master and teacher, the holy Rebbe in his days of mourning after his honored mother the righteous Rebbetzin". The Rebbe recorded after this the content of the sicha (printed in Sefer HaSichos 5704 [1944] page 160).</ref>. However, even in Morristown, the Rebbe's work did not cease, and he testified that "I could not rest." Rabbi Nissan Mindel testified that the Rebbe Rayatz said in Morristown that "here there is an atmosphere of Torah." These visits formed the foundation for Tomchei Tmimim Morristown.
