== History == The series began with booklets that started publication in 5741 (1980-1981), released weekly and containing the talks and maamarim delivered by the Rebbe during the previous Shabbat's farbrengen, most of which were not edited by the Rebbe. At the end of each year, four volumes were published containing the talks and maamarim delivered that year, as well as maamarim from previous years that were edited by the Rebbe during that year (with the exception of 5745 (1984-1985), when five volumes were published) - under the name 'Hitva'aduyot Admor Shlita'. In 5753 (1992-1993), the last two volumes of the year were published, containing the edited maamarim and talks delivered in the winter of 5752 (1991-1992). In total, forty-three volumes were published in this series containing the Rebbe's teachings from 5742-5752 (1981-1992). In 5751 (1990-1991), while editing the book Yemei Bereishit, a large collection of the Rebbe's talks from 5710-5711 (1950-1951) accumulated, some of which were edited by the Rebbe. In the winter of 5752 (1991-1992), with the Rebbe's approval, Rabbi Yisrael Shimon Kalmanson and Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook began editing the talks for a new series, which would include the Rebbe's talks from the first days after the passing of the Rebbe Rayatz; this series was called Torat Menachem. This second series also includes complete documentation of what was said during the Rebbe's farbrengens; first the maamar that was delivered is printed, followed by the talks, with details of the niggunim (melodies), and some of the private conversations the Rebbe had during the niggunim, and more. The series also prints the general letters, telegrams sent by the Rebbe, and sometimes various yechidusen (private audiences). It also includes the Rebbe's responses to the writers (menichim), and explanations to anash (Chassidim) regarding questions about understanding things said during the farbrengen. As of 5785 (2024-2025), 83 volumes have been published, containing the talks from Shevat 5710 (1950) until 11 Nissan 5736 (1976). Each week, a booklet is published containing one Shabbat farbrengen edited by Vaad Hanachot B'Lashon HaKodesh, from books that will appear in the future.
