== The Essence of Preparation == Already in his time, the Previous Rebbe (Admor HaRayatz) issued a special "call to action" in which he called upon the Jewish people to prepare themselves for the coming of Moshiach, and that the time is the final period before his arrival, and all that remains are very minor things, like polishing the buttons. Beginning in 5748 (1988), and even more intensely in the years 5751-5752 (1991-1992), the Rebbe spoke constantly about having completed all the work, including polishing the buttons - the smallest things. At the International Shluchim Convention in 5752 (1992), in a special talk that the Rebbe delivered to the army of shluchim, the Rebbe said that this gathering is the appropriate time to awaken everyone to the current work, what to focus on now in their place of shlichus, and the Rebbe continued to outline the "new work" - '''to prepare all the people of the city to receive Moshiach'''.
