Editing Haoros HaTemimim V'Anash (section)

In winter 5732, the Tmimim in the [[Central Tomchei Tmimim - 770|central yeshiva at 770]] thought about an appropriate gift for [[the Rebbe]]'s seventieth birthday and decided to sit daily after seder to learn [[Likkutei Sichos]].

During the learning, several questions and answers arose regarding the sichos, and before Shabbos Parshas Tetzaveh (10 Adar) that year, a publication titled "Haaros HaTmimim" was published containing some of the shakla v'tarya that arose.

A few months later, some Tmimim prepared a respectable kovetz containing a collection from the kovtzim published until then. The kovetz was brought to the Rebbe who edited the 'pesach davar' and set the date - Chai Elul. The Rebbe also announced that "Keren HaShivim" would fund ten percent of the printing costs.

When Reb Chaim Yitzchak Cohen, CEO of Sadigura institutions in Eretz HaKodesh, gave the Rebbe a kovetz of chiddushim during dollars distribution saying they were fulfilling the Rebbe's hora'ah, the Rebbe said it wasn't a hora'ah but a suggestion (originally in Yiddish: "s'iz nit geven - nit kein hora'ah, s'iz geven a hatzaa").

The main purpose of the kovtzim is to add in limud haTorah.
