'''Tractate Menachot''' is the second tractate in Seder Kodashim, the fifth order of the Mishnah. Besides the Mishnah and Tosefta, there is a Babylonian Talmud on this tractate, but no Jerusalem Talmud. It contains thirteen chapters which mainly deal with the laws of sacrifices that come from plants and are called Menachot (meal offerings), as opposed to Tractate Zevachim which deals with sacrifices that come from animals. The fourth chapter of this tractate deals incidentally with tzitzit, tefillin, and the laws of Torah scrolls and mezuzah. In the Babylonian Talmud, this tractate has 109 pages.

== Mitzvat Milah ==
In the tractate, it states that when King David entered the bathhouse and was without mitzvot, he was distressed about this. But when he remembered the brit milah in his flesh, his mind was put at ease.

From here the Rebbe proves that besides the act of circumcision, milah is also a constant and continuous mitzvah - to be circumcised. Therefore, a circumcised person is in a state of constant fulfillment of a mitzvah, and that is why King David's mind was put at ease.
