One of the destinies for the Future Era is that the moon will shine with light like the sun (and even more than it), and likewise the orbit of the moon will be like the orbit of the sun, and the light of the sun will also be much stronger. == Source of the Destiny == <blockquote>"And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of the seven days." β Isaiah 30:26</blockquote> == Nature of the Destiny == ==== The Correction and Perfection of the Deficiency of the Two Great Luminaries ==== At the beginning of creation, HaKadosh Baruch Hu created two great luminaries, where the sun and the moon were equal. But now, as a result of the moon's complaint during the six days of creation that "two kings cannot use the same crown," HaKadosh Baruch Hu diminished the moon. This diminishment was expressed both in its light, as it has no light of its own but only what it receives from the sun, and in its size. As a result, the orbit of the moon is less than the orbit of the sun during the year, and consequently the Jewish calendar involves very complex calculations. In the Future Era, the deficiency of the moon will be corrected, and then the moon will shine by itself and there will again be "two great luminaries." Consequently, the lunar year will be like the solar year, because everything will return to how it was at the beginning of creation. ==== The Virtue of the Sun ==== The sun will be "sevenfold as the light of the seven days" - sevenfold seven times as the light of the seven days equals forty-nine sevenths, which amounts to three hundred and forty-three. ==== The Virtue of the Moon ==== The sun will influence the moon - "A woman of valor is the crown of her husband." == Our Actions and Service == For the Jewish people, who are destined to be renewed like the moon, there needs to be a semblance and example of this now - the revelation of the essence of Israel [even in simple matters through providing physical necessities to a Jew]. == A Taste and Glimpse == ==== The Light Created on the First Day was Hidden for the Righteous in the Future Era, Hidden in the Torah, Now in the Inner Dimensions of Torah ==== Regarding the light that was good, which was created on the first day - our Sages said that "He hid it for the righteous for the Future Era," and the well-known saying of the Baal Shem Tov is "And where did He hide it? - In the Torah." That means that in the Torah is now hidden the light that will exist in the Future Era. From this it is understood that through the Torah one can reach even now the revelation of the light of the Future Era. Because although it is true that this is a light that will only be revealed in the future, for HaKadosh Baruch Hu the future is one with the present - "was, is, and will be as one." And since the Jewish people are one with the Torah and HaKadosh Baruch Hu, then so too in the Torah and the Jewish people (in the righteous - for whom the concept that "Israel and the Holy One, blessed be He, are entirely one" is revealed openly), this is already now, because they are above the limitations of time. The light of the Future Era that was "hidden in the Torah" - is in the inner dimensions of the Torah, "the tree of life." And similarly regarding "hidden for the righteous" - the true concept of the righteous (foundation of the world that is above sovereignty) is specifically through the inner dimensions of the Torah, and through this they become above the limitations of time. In other words: Through the inner dimensions of the Torah ("hidden in the Torah"), one becomes righteous, and through this one reaches the revelation of the light of the Future Era.
