Der Mitteler Rebbes Kapelye

Jump to navigation Jump to search

"Der Mitteler Rebbes Kapelye" is a niggun composed by the choir of the Mitteler Rebbe's chassidim, and became very beloved by the Mitteler Rebbe himself.

In a private audience with musician Jean Zeidel-Rudolf, the Rebbe said that the niggun contains contrasts and different intense emotional states, and the movements of dveikus and hiskashrus to Hashem can be felt in it. The niggun transitions from a minor scale expressing a quiet emotional state to a major scale expressing a stormy emotional state. The Rebbe expressed that the harmonies in the song are integrated in an optimal way.

This niggun consists of four stanzas, and it is niggun number 12 in Sefer HaNiggunim.
